Fran Duncan, who lives with the challenges of ME and scoliosis, has continuously faced her journey of self-discovery and acceptance, as well as various adversities including health issues, without losing her passion for art. No matter her age or physical limitations, she has found a new sense of freedom and openness through her artistic practice with alcohol inks. In the creative process, she collaborates with the nature of the inks symbiotically, guided by her subconscious, as the inks do not allow for rigid control. This method of embracing the unknown and finding unexpected beauty reflects her life lessons.
