CORPORATE PRIZE

TOKYO TATEMONO | Brillia Prize

The Mystic's Dream

  • Year:

    2025

  • Size:

    700×998mm

  • Material/Technique:

    Acrylic, pen on canvas

From the very beginning, Amanda’s greatest ambition, her deepest longing, her relentless quest, and her mysterious way of thinking has always revolved around God. She has always felt that she is something beyond the ordinary. That she must define her worth and glory by reflecting, searching, and delving deep into her consciousness to understand who she is as God intended.
Yet, the world moves fast, and few take time for tafakur—the deep contemplation of their calling and what truly resides in their hearts. Amanda too, seeks that deep within herself, and sees that
painting is her true ambition. Perhaps her work will mean nothing to others, but she is grateful to manifest the unseen. This attempt of manifestation, she believes, is the highest form of human arrogance — to try to give form to what we deeply know and yet not fully understand — and thus The Mystic’s Dreams was born.

JURY’S COMMENT

Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd.

The vivid hues and intricate expressions that extend through the breadth and width of the canvas evoke intensity, and we were drawn to its impact. Various depictions that were found in different parts of the artwork show us myriad expressions, leading us to discover something new and unique, as well as a sense of delight. In the company survey we conducted, our staff showed a resonance with the piece, sharing comments like “Beautiful as a whole or from any angle,” “Strikes my inner emotion,” and “Sophisticated.” Bringing a connection between this expressive art and Brillia will help us deliver homes that are special for every customer. The artwork will be featured in our housings and temporary enclosures for our projects, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to present this picture to many people.
