The HERALBONY Art Prize is an international art award established in 2024
to provide a platform for artists with disabilities from around the world,
regardless of their professional status, age, or nationality,
to showcase their creative power and support the blossoming of their careers.

Q

Am I eligible to apply?

A

The prize is open to artists with disabilities, either self-nominated or nominated by others.
If you pass the first-round judging (based on image review), you will be asked to:
1.Ship your actual artwork to the designated location in Japan for the final judging.
2.Provide an electronic copy of one of the following documents for verification:
・Disability identification issued by a government authority
・Certificate of enrollment from a special needs school or welfare facility
・Medical certificate from a healthcare institution

Q

Can I submit an artwork that was entered in another competition?

A

Yes, as long as it has never received an award or previously commercialized. Please also make sure to check the terms of any other competition you entered, as some may have an exclusivity period.

Can I submit works by a deceased artist?

A

We’re sorry, but the prize is intended for living artists with the desire to continue creating.

I’m having trouble applying through the online form.

A

If you cannot submit online, you may apply using the downloadable Word form.

Please note that we cannot accept submissions in person or by postal mail.
